The Story
Jerry and Alice are a happy couple soon to have a baby. Alice's curmudgeonly father, Abe, lives with them. When Jerry's mother, Mildred, loses her house in a fire and moves in "temporarily" with Jerry and Alice, the fun begins. The play is one hilarious confrontation after another between Abe and Mildred until the heart-warming finale when the seniors discover that, really, the other is not so bad.

In addition to the young couple and their squabbling parents, we are introduced to the people who add spice to the lives of the happy family. We meet Hector the handyman who spends more time in the bathroom than he does working; Wasserman, Abe's mild mannered friend and finally Mrs. Fisher, the baby nurse, who is somewhat stern, to put it mildly.
